Children are experiencing serious head injuries. Effects of concussions are memory loss, loss of consciousness, and severe headaches. Children who played tackle football were at risk of not being able to complete their education. The schools involved in the ban say that schools are places of learning and educational activities should be the focus rather than sports based on brute force.

Education has never been the focus at schools with primetime football programs. They have focused on sending out elite football stars to go on to play at the collegiate and professional levels. Unfortunately, the board of education has determined that the focus was off the target, and banned the football program in some of these districts. Rather than admit the real reason for their football ban, they have focused on the injuries instead.
