O’Connell, 41 made his bones as the fat kid on the classic 1986 movie “Stand By Me,” in which he co-starred with future stars River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Kiefer Sutherland and Wil Wheaton. Acting was in O’Connell’s blood from a young age, and he honed his skills at the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan, then went on to New York University after taking a break from film acting. In addition to appearing on screen, O’Connell is also a producer, director, writer and video game voiceover artist. He hit the wife jackpot when he married Rebecca Romijn in 2007, and the couple have twin girls, born in 2008.

O’Connell has a long resume, including movies such as “Calendar Girl,” “Jerry Maguire,” “Scream 2,” “Mission To Mars,” “Scary Movie 5” and “Veronica Mars.” He also has a thriving TV career, including roles in “Crossing Jordan,” “Las Vegas,” and “The Defenders.” He won the Young Artist Award in 1987 for his role in “Stand By Me”.
